We are also planning two special events later this year. The first will celebrate the installation of new interpretive signage along the Coal Mines Trail with a public ribbon-cutting ceremony, a project we are working on with multiple community partners including the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust. In addition, we are partnering with the Ronald Community Club to support a fundraiser for a new roof at the Old Ronald School. This event will highlight the Coal Dusters Motorcycle Club, active in the 1960’s & 1970’s during the height of our area’s dirt biking’s popularity, particularly around the historic coal dumps after the mines closed.
